This source is a longitudinally cut folio used as binding for a notebook of account ledgers from the "Procura d’Herències" (Heir Hunting Office). In its current state, the fragment measures 255 x 154 mm and features a two-column text box, with each column being nine centimeters wide and separated by two centimeters. The text was copied using very dark smoke black ink, with red ink used for rubrics, capital letters, and to highlight the first letter of each sentence with a line. The script is Gothic, with a somewhat closed ductus and irregular descenders, employing a different font size for the chants.

The fact that all three chants appear with adiastematic notation does not indicate that it is a very ancient fragment but rather the usual way of indicating chants that have already been fully copied elsewhere in the same manuscript: a smaller font size, adiastematic notation, and only citing the textual and musical incipit. In fact, judging by the script style, this manuscript could well be from the mid-13th century.

Esta fuente es un folio recortado longitudinalmente para servir de encuadernación a una libreta de albaranes de la Procura d’Herències. En su estado actual, el fragmento mide 255 x 154 mm, y presenta una caja de texto a dos columnas con nueve centímetros de ancho cada una y separada por otros dos centímetros. El texto fue copiado con tinta negro de humo muy oscuro y roja para las rúbricas, las letras capitales y para resaltar con una línea la primera letra de cada frase. El tipo de escritura es gótico, con un ductus algo cerrado y de caída irregular, empleando un tamaño de letra distinto para los cantos.

El hecho de que los tres cantos aparezcan con notación adiastemática no indica que se trate de un fragmento muy antiguo, sino que es la forma habitual de indicar cantos que ya han sido copiados íntegros previamente en el mismo manuscrito: un tipo de escritura más pequeño, notación adiastemática, y citando únicamente el íncipit textual y musical. De hecho, a juzgar por el tipo de escritura, este manuscrito bien puede ser de mediados del siglo XIII.
